Beighpora Encounter Update: One Militants Killed In Beighpora Awantipora Gunfight Sofar, Operation Continues
An unidentified militant has been killed in the ongoing encounter at Beighpora, Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district while as operation is going on, police said.
In its tweet, police said: ” So far 01 unidentified #terrorist killed. Operation going on. Further details shall follow.”
Pulwama Encounter Update: Two Militants Four Army Personnel Killed In Gunfight In Pulwama, Operation Continues
Two militants were killed in an ongoing operation in Pingleena area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
Four soldiers including an officer of Major rank and three other soldiers were also killed in the encounter. A civilian Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat (46) has also been killed in the gunfight.
An army spokesman confirmed the death of two militants and four army soldiers in the gunfight.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police South Kashmir range Amit Kumar told that two militant were killed in the operation.
He said that the bodies of the slain militants have been recovered along with as many weapons and other war like stores.
DIG further said that the searches in the area are still underway to find out if there is any more militant body.
A police officer earlier said that the gunfight broke out today morning after a joint team of army’s 55 RR, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation following a “credible inputs” about the presence of two to three militants in the area.
Tral Gunfight Update: Six Unidentified Militants Killed In Tral Encounter, Operation Continues
Six militants has been killed in ongoing Gunfight which broke out between militants and government forces in Arampora area of Awantipora of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports reaching that a joint team of army’s 42RR, 180 BN CRPF and SOG Awantipora launched cordon and search operation in Arampora after having credible input about presence of some militants in the area.
As soon joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon government forces triggering an encounter. Official Sources told that Six militants have been killed and are believed to be members of Zakir Musa led group Ansar ul Gazwat ul Hind.
