2G Services To Continue In Jammu And Kashmir Union Territory Till 27 May,  Pulwama And Shopian To Remain Without Internet Until Next Orders

Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday extended ban on high-speed internet till May 27 even as 2G service shall remain suspended in Pulwama and Shopian district for now.

Among others, the government has cited use of high speed mobile internet for coordinating acts of militancy, both within and from across the border.

“Over the past two weeks, there has been a sharp increase in (militancy) related incidents, ranging from isolated attacks on civilians, hurling of grenades in public places, indiscriminate firing and attacks on the security forces’ personnel deployed on Naka duties to enforce restrictions to contain COVID-19,” it said, adding, “(There has been) Increased presence of (militants) in the thickly populated areas and engagements with Security Forces leading to killing of (militants and recovery of arms and ammunition,” reads an order issued by the Home department.

The government said it has been reported that there have been concerted efforts by the “Pak handlers to cause incitement among the general public, particularly youth, through circulation of varied nature of “propaganda audios, videos and photographs, while continuing with attempts to spread misinformation and fake news. Despite serious concerns related to spread of COVID-19, there have even been instances of stone pelting at militant encounter sites.”

The government said that there are reports, indicating that high speed mobile internet is likely to be used for coordinating acts of militantcy- both within and from across the border; and in view of killing of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen chief Riyaz Naikoo and other militants in Pulwama district on May 6, the authorities said that they were “compelled to snap down mobile cellular services i.e. voice/sms as well as internet services, across the Kashmir valley to ensure maintenance of public order.” “There are credible inputs from intelligence agencies that (militants) may make desperate attempts to avenge the reverses in the recent past,” the order issued by Principal Secretary Home said.

On examining the reports of the field agencies and the prevailing security situation, the government said that there was apparent necessity to take suitable steps to prevent misuse of internet for incitement and propagation of militant activities. “Given the availability of fixed line internet connectivity without any speed related restrictions and taking cognizance of the fact that mobile internet connectivity at 2G speed does not cause any impediment in taking measures concerning control of COVID -19, it is considered appropriate that while the mobile internet is restored in the Kashmir Valley excluding Pulwama and the adjoining district of Shopian, it is restricted to 2G speed,” it said.

The government said that the internet speed shall remain restricted to 2G only across the J&K excluding Pulwama and Shopian. The IGP, Kashmir and Jammu have been asked to ensure communication of these directions to the service providers with immediate effect and ensure their implementation in letter and spirit.

“(These) directions shall be effective from 12.05.2020 and remain in force till 27.05.2020, unless modified earlier,” the order added.

Barring minor clashes in Beighpora Awantipora in Pulwama district, the home town of the slain commander, the situation remained normal across the Valley, the officials said.

A group of protesters pelted stones on deployments of police and paramilitary forces at Beighpora and adjoining areas. However, police and paramilitary forces chased them away by firing few teargas canisters. However there were no reports about any serious injury to anyone in the incident.

Here’s How Smartphones Damage Your Productivity And Health

Technoference, or the distractions caused due to mobile phones or smartphones, is a term that many of us may not be familiar with but still, we are all victims of it.

In a country like India which has the second largest number of mobile phone users in the world, it is especially important to note the ill effects of our increasing dependence on smartphones.

Technoference is making people unhealthy in many different ways.   It wouldn t be wrong to say that most of us have become addicted to our mobile phones.

Now, an Australian research published in the journal Frontiers in Psychiatry claims that excessive use of mobile phones is making people not just lose sleep but also become less productive.

The study also noted that mobile phones are making us take more risks while driving and that they are causing more aches and pains.   You could partially or completely blame the following health conditions on your excessive use of mobile phones.

Eye problems: Doctors have noted an increase in eye conditions like presbyopia (age-related long-sightedness caused due loss of elasticity of the lens of the eye) even among their younger patients.

Dry eyes syndrome, irritation and redness are some of the other common problems. It is worse to use your mobile phones in the dark as it strains your eyes even further.     Infections: As shocking as it may sound, you could also blame skin infections like acne on your mobile phones.

Your mobile phones carry a number of germs on them. This is especially true in the case of those who use their mobile phones in their toilet.   The germs, oil and dirt on your phones could cause a number of infections when It coems in contact with your hands and face.   Radiation-related problems: There have been conflicting reports on the effects of mobile phone radiation on health. There are ongoing research studies being carried out on the possible link between cancer and mobile phone use.

According to the World Health Organisation, there is tissue heating which means that the energy radiated by the frequencies of mobile phones is absorbed by the skin and other superficial tissues which results in negligible temperature rise in the brain or any other organs of the body.

It also says that to date, research does not suggest any consistent evidence of adverse health effects from exposure to radiofrequency fields at levels below those that cause tissue heating.

The long-term effects, however, need more research because many cancers are not detectable until many years after the interactions that led to the tumour, and since mobile phones were not widely used until the early 1990s, epidemiological studies at present can only assess those cancers that become evident within shorter time periods, according to WHO.

Jio Prime Fridays section lists cashback deals on flight ticket bookings, It mentions deals from MakeMyTrip, Paytm, and Shopclues.

The offers are valid until March 31
Reliance Jio has been spotted adding a Jio Prime Fridays section to the MyJio app to list all the discount coupons and deals from sources such as MakeMyTrip, Paytm, and ShopClues. The new section also highlights cashback offers as well as gives links to sections, including My vouchers, Coupons, and JioPay among others. You can also directly recharge your Jio account from the Prime Fridays section. This isn’t the first time when Reliance Jio has brought offers through its MyJio app. The telco offered cashbacks and listed discounts on the MyJio app and its website in 2017.

Among other deals, the Jio Prime Fridays section on the MyJio app lists cashback up to Rs. 1,000 on flight ticket bookings via Paytm. Customers ordering flight tickets of as low as Rs. 3,000 are entitled to avail the cashback. Further, the cashback will be given to KYC-verified accounts.

The Prime Fridays section also has a Rs. 75 discount on a minimum purchase of Rs. 199 through Shopclues. The maximum discount that can be availed per order is Rs. 755. Also, the offer is valid only on prepaid transactions.

Notably, the Paytm and Shopclues offers are valid until March 31. The deals are also in line with what’s being offered through other websites.

The existence of the Jio Prime Friday deals has been confirmed formally on the Jio website. However, we weren’t able to see the new section on our MyJio app at the time of filing this story. Folks at TelecomTalk have reported the section.

It appears that the Jio Prime Fridays section is initially available to select Jio subscribers. We’ve reached out to Jio to give clarity on the development and will update this space accordingly.

As we mentioned, this isn’t the first time when Reliance Jio is offering deals and offers to its subscribers. The telco back in November 2017 brought a list of cashback offers for Jio Prime users. It had also tied up with Amazon India to offer vouchers for using Amazon Pay through the Jio network.

World’s Most Net Shutdowns In India

India topped the world with the highest number of internet shutdowns by government authorities with reportedly 121 instances to date in 2018, revealed data compiled by Delhi-based
Software Freedom Law Centre’s ‘internetshutdowntracker’.

Taken with ‘Freedom on The Net 2018’, also released on Thursday, where India scored 43 – down two places from its score of 41 last year – the data shows how government controls have impacted freedom on the internet. India has slipped in the ‘partially free’ category. Higher the score, lesser the freedom on the Net. So, 0 is full freedom, while 100 is no freedom.

In India, governments have shut down the internet purportedly to prevent riots, incidents of hate crime, even to prevent cheating in exams. Citing instances of shutdowns, the report states: “In Tamil Nadu, a video showing a child being kidnapped went viral on WhatsApp with a warning of child kidnappers on the prowl. The video is originally an announcement against child kidnapping from Pakistan,” it stated.

The report observed that while the Supreme Court judgment making privacy a fundamental right in August 2017 was a victory for internet freedom, it has been “plagued by security breaches”. The report cited researchers who exposed security lapses in Aaadhar, noting that Indian authorities are “poor custodians of citizen’s information”.

Govt To Examine Feasibility Of Blocking WhatsApp Calling Services In Insurgency-Hit J&K

The issue was flagged during a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba where the recent arrests in connection the attack at Nagrota Army camp in 2016 was highlighted.
The government will examine the feasibility of blocking WhatsApp calling services in insurgency-hit areas such as Jammu and Kashmir as it has come to light that militants are using the facility to be in constant touch with their handlers sitting across the border, officials have said.
The issue was flagged during a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba where the recent arrests in connection with the attack at Nagrota Army camp in 2016 was highlighted.
The arrested militants told the Jammu and Kashmir Police that they were taking directions from across the border through WhatsApp call, they said.
Seven Army men were killed in the Nagrota attack.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) recently took custody of the three people, arrested by the state police for their alleged involvement in helping the militants which included ferrying them from the border and guiding them to the Army camp.
The meeting, which was attended by top officials from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and those from security agencies as well as Jammu and Kashmir Police, was called to discuss the removal of ‘malicious content’ from various social networking sites posted by ‘keypad jihadis’, who ‘spew venom’ on the Internet with an intent to create a ‘law and order’ situation by spreading rumours or giving communal colour to any event.
The use of Internet for making calls has increased the problems for security agencies who have been unable to crack it due to end-to-end encryption by the service provider, they said.
An example of some countries which included those from the Gulf were cited during the meeting where neither WhatsApp voice or video calling was allowed, they said.
An official statement released said the meeting discussed effective measures to be taken by the law enforcement agencies to tackle the security challenges being posed by terrorists, militants and also individuals propagating child pornography using the social media platforms.
The meeting also discussed steps to enhance coordination among the law enforcement agencies, MeitY and DoT to block and remove ‘malicious content’ under sections 69 (Power to issue directions for interception or monitoring or decryption of any information through any computer resource) and 79 (limited access to a communication system over which information made available by third parties is transmitted or temporarily stored or hosted) of the IT Act.
It was decided that law enforcement agencies will closely coordinate with MeitY to ensure that the action to block the content on social media platforms is taken in a timely manner
This will be followed by a meeting with the representatives of social media platforms for compliance, the statement said.

Reliance Jio’s Rs 199 Post Plan Likely To Trigger Tariff War: Experts

Jio announced a new post-paid plan starting from with monthly rental of Rs 199 and an ISD calling service at a starting price of 50 paise per minute.

The subscription of the Jio’s Rs 199 plan will start from May 15.

The new post-paid Rs 199 plan announced by Reliance Jio is expected to hit revenue of competitors marginally and may trigger tariff war in the segment, according to market analysts. “Move could lead to another brutal tariff cut in the post-paid regime, hurting incumbents further: Jio’s post-paid tariffs are sharply lower compared to the current tariff plans offered by incumbents,” JP Morgan said in its report.

Jio announced a new post-paid plan starting from with monthly rental of Rs 199 and an ISD calling service at a starting price of 50 paise per minute. “International tariffs offered by Jio are quite competitive and we could see downward pressure on such tariffs for incumbents. However, even in a scenario where we assume 10-15 per cent of postpaid revenues are from international calls, and international tariffs get cut by 50 per cent, the impact on overall revenue of incumbents is likely to be less than 2 per cent,” Goldman Sachs said.

Reliance Jiopostpaid plan with unlimited calls, 25GB data at Rs 199 per month launched

The subscription of the Jio’s Rs 199 plan will start from May 15. At present, the lowest monthly rent of Jio post-paid plan is Rs 309. Customers opting for Rs 199 will not require to pay any security deposit and they will get unlimited free voice, sms and 25 GB data at 4G speed. The company also announced international roaming service with outgoing calls at Rs 2 per minute onwards.

CLSA analysts Deepti Chaturvedi and Akshat Agarwal in their report said 5 per cent of industry subscribers are on post-paid service. Post-paid subscribers, although limited to 5-6 per cent for Bharti Airtel and Idea-Vodafone, account for around 20 per cent of their mobile revenue, the CLSA report said. “Jio’s Rs 199 per month post-paid tariff plan is a sector negative and will delay the Arpu recovery for the sector,” CLSA said.

Bharti Airtel is Now Offering 3GB of 4G Data Under Rs 50 For One Day

Kashmir News Network

Bharti Airtel is Now Offering 3GB of 4G Data Under Rs 50 For One Day

While Airtel’s focus might be winning on the content part against Reliance Jio, it’s not standing back in the tariff plans department as well. Airtel has now started offering 3GB of 4G data for select customers at just Rs 49. But the validity of the plan is just one day, and it’s a prepaid plan and not valid for postpaid users. As seen with many of Airtel’s prepaid plans, this data pack is also valid for select users across the country. And for all the users, Airtel is offering 1GB of data with the Rs 49 data plan. If you want to check the eligibility of this plan, head over to My Airtel application or Airtel website and enter your mobile number to get all the offers available on your number.

As stated, Airtel used to offer the Rs 49 plan earlier as well and is still offering the plan for every Airtel customer, but the data benefit is 1GB only. With the new offer, the data benefit has been changed to 3GB data. But the validity of the plan is still one day, which is underwhelming, but this plan will be useful for users who’re travelling for a day or so.

And the best part is the data benefit is 4G/3G and not 2G. Besides the Rs 49 data pack, Airtel also has a couple of other attractive data plans under Rs 100. A while back, we reported Airtel’s Rs 65 data pack that offered 1GB of 4G/3G data for 28 days and the leading telco is also providing a Rs 98 data pack, under which it’s providing users 5GB of 4G/3G data for 28 days.

Like always, the Rs 65 and Rs 98 data packs are also valid for select users, not open market plans. That being said, for the users looking for open market plans, Airtel has a bunch of them such as Rs 199, Rs 249, Rs 349, Rs 399, Rs 448 and Rs 509 plans. The Rs 199, Rs 399, Rs 448 and Rs 509 prepaid plans offer unlimited voice calls, 1.4GB data per day and 100 SMS per day for 28 days, 70/84 days, 82 days and 90 days respectively. The newly introduced prepaid plan of Rs 249 gives 2GB data per day for all the users, while the Rs 349 plan is now offering 3GB data per day for all the Airtel prepaid users across the country.

After 4G Feature Phone, Reliance Jio Now Rumoured to Launch Laptops With Cellular Connectivity

After 4G Feature Phone, Reliance Jio Now Rumoured to Launch Laptops With Cellular Connectivity

After launching their own 4G feature phone (JioPhone), Reliance Jio’s next big move to increase its average revenue per user seems to be a laptop with a SIM card. The Mukesh Ambani led telecom major is in talks with US-based chipmaker Qualcomm to bring out laptops running Windows 10 with built-in cellular connections for the Indian market. The Qualcomm laptops will apparently be bundled with Jio 4G connections. Qualcomm is already working with Jio and Reliance Retail to bring out a 4G feature phone.

“…we have talked to Jio. They could take the device and bundle it with data and content,” Miguel Nunes, senior director, product management, Qualcomm Technologies, told Economic Times.

The company has been touting its Snapdragon Mobile Platform as future of mobile laptop computing which will bring the next-gen “Always Connected PCs”. The chip maker, meanwhile also talking with the homegrown Internet of Things brand Smartron to bring Snapdragon 835 powered laptops. Smartron has confirmed the same.

Globally, Qualcomm has launched Snapdragon powered laptops with players such as HP, Asus and Lenovo. Besides, Nunes said that there are now 14 operators that have extended their support for this new category of connected PCs, including the US’ Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and major carriers in Germany, Italy, the UK, France, and Australia.

Last year, Qualcomm and Microsoft first announced that they are working together on Always Connected PCs at Snapdragon Tech Summit. They announced three devices the HP Envy x2, Lenovo Miix 630 and Asus NovaGo powered by Snapdragon 835 and running Windows 10.

The companies claimed that in addition to LTE connectivity, the SD 835 powered devices come with increased battery life with laptops providing 20 hours battery backup. Moreover, the devices would instantly switch on instead of taking few seconds to come out of sleep mode. The laptops also promise better security on mobile connections than public Wi-Fi hotspots.

However, Qualcomm powered laptops are yet to hit global markets, so it is going to take a while before Jio gets their own SIM connected laptop. Stay tuned for more updates.

5,000 Aircel Employees Await Their Salaries As Firm is in Shutdown Mode

5,000 Aircel Employees Await Their Salaries As Firm is in Shutdown Mode

The troubled telecom company Aircel is on the downward spiral, with many of its offices already shut down and many in the process, due to delay or non-payment of office rents and electricity bills, reports the Economic Times.

More than 5,000 employees of Aircel are waiting for their salaries due for the past two months in various regions the company was operational in.

A source at the executive level in the company told ET, “It is definite that the offices are shutting down. We have requested our landowner to give us a floor to take care of operations in the interim. However, because of the dues, we are being asked to clear out.”

Many employees could smell trouble when they came to know that their insurance covers were not renewed by the company. Top executives such as national head of operations Vipul Saurabh and chief marketing officer Anupam Vasudev quit last month, also hinting at an uncertain future.

Insolvency professional for the telecom operator, Vijaykumar V Iyer, in a letter to the employees told them that an external party will be brought in to provide funds to clear salary dues that have piled up till February end.

“As you are aware we have been in detailed discussions with an external party to provide us funds to make to you payment of your wages and salaries up to February 28. These discussions have proceeded at pace… I anticipate being able to shortly confirm you that the necessary legal formalities have been completed (for all three companies) and that the funds are being transferred to me for onward payment to each of you. I will confirm directly to you once the funds have been received and the anticipated payment date,” the letter read.

Iyer also said that Aircel has begun negotiations with “interim finance providers” and telecom operators for intra-circle roaming (ICR) arrangements.

As part of ICR deals, Aircel will be able to latch on to other telecoms for network. Iyer clarified in the letter, “if it is not possible to restart the network and operations are wound down, any wages and salaries will be classified under the law as insolvency resolution process costs, and you will get these in advance of any creditor or other claims once company assets are sold.”

What Will Happen After Your Reliance Jio Prime Membership Subscription

What Will Happen After Your Reliance Jio Prime Membership Subscription

Under the prime membership, subscribers would get additional benefits and low cost discounted tariff plans in comaprison to non-prime members.

Since the idea first cropped up, Reliance, which owns and operates the world’s largest single location refinery complex at Jamnagar in Gujarat, has spent more than USD 31 billion to break into India’s mobile-phone market. The 2016 upstart, called Jio, dislodged rivals and has emerged as the nation’s No. 4 carrier by offering call services free for life and data transmission at dirt cheap rates.

Jio is also gearing up for newer data-heavy services that can connect homes, businesses, and cars to the internet.

Ambani said with super-abundant youthful talent, India is poised to become the third largest economy in the world by 2028 — within just a single decade.

“The idea of Jio was first seeded by my daughter, Isha, in 2011. She was a student at Yale (in the US) and was home for holidays. She wanted to submit some coursework and she said, ‘Dad, the internet in our house sucks’,” he recalled.

Ambani said Isha’s twin brother, Akash, at that time stated that in the old world, telecom was voice and people made money on calls but in the new world everything is digital.

Latest WhatsApp Beta for Android Adds QR Code Payments Option

Latest WhatsApp Beta for Android Adds QR Code Payments Option

Finally, the much-awaited feature has arrived for WhatsApp users. The latest beta WhatsApp update for Android users has added QR Code payments option, meaning a user can now payments by scanning QR Codes. Since the rollout of WhatsApp Payment service, users have been questioning about the absence of QR Code payments option. But finally, it has been added to the platform. However, only Android’s latest beta version 2.18.93 has this feature, and the update was rolled out yesterday as per Google Play Store.

WhatsApp users with payments option enabled can head over to the ‘Settings’ menu by pressing the three-dot menu on the right top. After that, they need to head over to the Payments option and select the New Payment option by scrolling down, which will present them with two options- To UPI ID and Scan QR Code. Choosing the second option will take you the QR code scanning screen and post scanning the code, you will be asked to enter the amount followed by the UPI PIN verification.

Unfortunately, this is the only process to make a QR Code payment. Last week, WhatsApp added the functionality of UPI code payments to the platform, allowing users to make payments using the unique UPI ID.

When the feature rolled back last month, WhatsApp allowed users to make payments only to the contacts list. However, Paytm spotted the absence of UPI ID payments and QR Code payments on WhatsApp and criticised the Facebook-owned company for not completely following the UPI payment guidelines.

Well, after this massive setback, WhatsApp immediately rolled out the UPI ID payments option, followed by today’s QR Code payments option. So now, WhatsApp is fully supporting the UPI guidelines.

Earlier this week, WhatsApp was spotted testing QR Code payments option on the platform, but today, the feature is fully available for end users. Having said that, we have tested the QR Code payments option, and it’s working absolutely fine without any issues. WhatsApp is allowing users to make 20 UPI payments or up to Rs 1 Lakh per day.

On the whole, this is the best addition from WhatsApp since the rollout of payments option. If you want to get this feature right away, download the latest WhatsApp Beta 2.18.93 by heading over to the Google Play Store. Nevertheless, this procedure is applicable only to the users registered on the WhatsApp Beta program. Other users can download the APK file from APK Mirror to get this new feature.

BSNL Makes Outgoing Roaming Calls Free With Rs 399 And Rs 799 Post

BSNL Makes Outgoing Roaming Calls Free With Rs 399 And Rs 799 Post

BSNL has set its eye on the postpaid segment now. After launching the affordable Rs 300 ghar wapsi postpaid plan, the company has now made a slight revision to the same plan, along with the premium Rs 799 postpaid plan. BSNL has now made the outgoing roaming free with the Rs 399 and Rs 799 postpaid plans, and there’s no daily FUP or monthly FUP as well. The voice calling is unlimited with both the plans- both off-net and on-net calls. With the Rs 799 postpaid plan, BSNL is also offering unlimited calling to landline numbers as well. Alongside the voice benefits, BSNL is also providing decent data benefit with both the plans, staying in competition with the private telecom operators.

The affordable Ghar Wapsi postpaid plan of Rs 399 offers 30GB of data, whereas the Rs 799 postpaid plan gives a whopping 60GB of data. Same as the voice calling benefit, there’s no monthly or daily FUP for the data benefit as well. Sadly, both the plans don’t offer any SMS benefits, which is super underwhelming considering the fact that all the private telcos are providing SMS benefits at least 100 SMS per billing cycle with all the postpaid plans.

But we’re expecting BSNL to change this and offer SMS benefits as well with all of its postpaid plans very soon. Right now, BSNL is providing SMS benefits with the plans starting from Rs 1,125. But that too just 250 SMS for the entire billing cycle. At a time when incumbent telcos are throwing in SMS benefits for free, it’s hard to believe that BSNL is not offering any SMSes with its postpaid plans.

These changes are already live on BSNL’s website. A company’s spokesperson stated that both the plans offered outgoing roaming calls earlier as well, but due to some confusion, the plans were listed without outgoing roaming benefits on the website. However, BSNL has now corrected it and providing unlimited roaming calls with the affordable Rs 399 postpaid plan as well.

On the whole, BSNL is in-line with private telcos when it comes to voice and data benefits, but the absence of SMS benefits means that telcos such as Airtel , Voda  and Idea stay ahead of the state-run telecom operator.

Want To Read Whatsapp Message Secretly, Here How You Can Do it????

Want To Read Whatsapp Message Secretly, Here How You Can Do it????

WhatsApp has got several new features over the past few years, among this one of the most important is the read receipt feature

The messaging app has a feature where a sender can find out if their message has been received and then read, practically the same second that it happens.

The message report begins with one grey tick (when sent), then two grey ticks (when the message has reached their phone), then two blue ticks (when it’s been read).

Although many of us might not be having any issue switching this optional feature on in WhatsApp but then there are times when you don’t want others or the sender to know that you have already read his/her message.

For this, one of the options can be to enter the settings inside WhatsApp and turn off the particular feature.

Unfortunately, this turns off the feature for all and doesn’t let you know if the other person has read your texts or not.

So what can be an easier alternative using which you don’t switch off the feature for yourself and others but can still prevent those double ticks to not turn blue even after you’ve read the message? Check details below.

This one’s a no-brainer actually and doesn’t require any tweaking with the settings at all.

Step 1: When a text message arrives on WhatsApp, the first thing to do is to scroll down the notification panel and switch on the aeroplane mode.

Step 2: Once offline, open the WhatsApp chat and read the message.

Step 3: Once read, close the app from the multi-window so it doesn’t stay open in the background and sync when you go online.

Step 4: After closing the app completely, switch off the aeroplane mode again.

It is worth adding that when you are in the aeroplane mode and are reading the WhatsApp message, make sure you close the app completely by swiping it away from the multi-window section.

If you keep simply press the back button, the app won’t close and will keep running in the background. As a result, as soon as you go online by switching off the aeroplane mode, the double ticks will turn blue as the app, which is actively running in the background, will sync.
