Srinagar, Mar 30: A man was killed in scuffle, which broke out over a land dispute, in Muchawa village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district this afternoon, officials said.
Identifying the deceased as Zahoor Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani, the officials said that as per initial reports a scuffle broke out at the residence of Ghulam Mohammad Wani (father of victim) this afternoon. “During the scuffle, Zahoor Ahmad Wani was killed”, they said.
A police team was at the site to ascertain more findings leading to death of the person, they added.
Confirming death of the person, a police official told that the body has been taken for post-mortem. “There has been some inter-family dispute which led to the death of the person”, the official added. Gns
18 Year Old Youth Found Dead In South Kashmir’s Dooru
Dooru, July 23: An 18-year-old youth was found dead in a Shastergam village of Dooru I’m South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday afternoon, an official said.
An official told that some locals spotted the body in Shastergam village and accordingly informed police.
He said a team of police from police station Dooru reached the spot and took the body into their possession.
Station House Officer (SHO) Police station Dooru, Nazir Ahmad Indrabi told that body has been recovered. He identified the deceased as Anamullah Haq son of Javid Ahmad Wani, a resident of Natipora, Dooru.

Khudwani Gunfight Update: Three Militants Killed In Encounter In Kulgam Area Of South Kashmir
Three militants behind the abduction and killing of a police constable were today killed in a gunfight with forces in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, police said.
Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid said that three bodies of the militants were recovered from the gunfight site.
An army spokesman in Srinagar also confirmed the killing of three militants.
In a tweet, Vaid said the militants were responsible for the killing of a police constable Mohd Saleem of Kulgam whose body was recovered yesterday from Kulgam.
Saleem was abducted by the militants from his home in Kulgam district on Friday night.
The gunfight began this morning as the forces launched a cordon and search operation in Khudwani after receiving specific intelligence input about the presence of militants in the area.
The search operation turned into a gun battle as the militants fired upon the search party of the forces who retaliated and in the ensuing gunfight, three militants were killed.
While the identity and group affiliation of the slain militants was yet to be ascertained, the police had yesterday said the militants behind the abduction and killing of the constable belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen outfit.
